Seto pop-up café days

In 2013, the first event of the pop-up café days was organized in Setomaa. The uniqueness of Seto café days is featured by the true local taste and the Seto culture that also includes rural lifestyle.

The idea of the event is to introduce the Seto culture through food and to invite visitors to taste the best that Seto cuisine has to offer, learn about culture and meet the locals. The local raw material is of vital importance in the menus of the cafes.

As the pop-up café day is held in August, the fruits of the filed and forest are at their peak. Most of the pop-up cafes have some locally important food or old Seto recipes on the menu.
